Sunday Catch-up

How I love a Sunday when I don't have to go anywhere!

After a few weeks of being super-busy, it's a relief to spend a day without any appointments. Yesterday I did laundry, cooked dinner in the crockpot, moved some books around, read a few magazines and some e-mails, gathered some things to donate and recycle, and generally enjoyed a nice stretch of unscheduled puttering.

All this reminds me of a saying I learned long ago from a wise counselor: "Remember that you're a human being, not a human doing."

I will certainly try to keep that in mind, even though today the busyness begins again.

  1. My coach used to tell me that, too! It's hard, though, since I think that we are programmed in today's society to have items to cross off our lists.

Puttering is such a lovely way to spend a day :-)

    1. We certainly are programmed to stay busy! At least this day I was (moderately) busy with chosen things rather than obligations.

Talk to me! I love external validation.
