When I stopped for gas early one recent morning and went into the convenience store to pay, I was the only person in there (besides the clerk) who wasn't wearing head-to-toe camo.
Apparently everyone else knew it was turkey season.
There was a whole lot of "Yes, m'am" and "No, m'am" in the air.
And there was a bit of a crush in front of the donut case.
I'm not a necessarily against hunting -- but I am pretty much on the side of the turkeys.
Funny thing was, I saw about 15 turkeys later that day in 4 different places -- all places where hunters wouldn't be hunting.
Apparently the turkeys knew it was turkey season, too!
